Restful views over the trees and opportunities for birdwatching on the balcony.Very private. Welcoming and helpful hosts. | September 2020 – We wanted a place away from it all and that's what we got. A true back end of beyond and turn left.Lovely accommodation; very generous for 2 of us with large living area and good-sized bedroom and shower room. Well equipped with reliable wifi too. Entertainment of a range of small birds feeding form the bird feeders on the balcony at breakfast. Easy to get to Hay on Wye (great range of eateries) and Kington (for walks). Very friendly and helpful hosts. Overall a great place for a short break. Just not a place if you like a quick trot from the place to get the morning paper! September 2020 – We just spent a week at this wonderful accommodation. The owners Marilyn and Peter were very friendly and helpful providing a great atmosphere. The barn had everything we needed and was so quiet we slept really well. I spent a long time watching the birds at the peanut feeder on the balcony, mostly tits and the odd nuthatch but we never saw the spotted woodpecker even though we heard him on the roof. There is a copse below the barn which leads onto a footpath which we took and ended up at the local pub, a very quirky place with some interesting locals. The area is great for walking with plenty of information left in the barn. All in all a great place. |
